Duties and Responsibilities:

● NTAs will be expected to use a Positive Behavior approach to school culture and climate.● NTAs will be expected to be solutions oriented and attend team meetings with a positiveapproach to new ideas.● NTAs will be expected to actively participate in the Caring School Community (CSC).● NTAs will be expected to demonstrate initiative in upholding school wide expectations.● NTAs will be expected to follow a school-wide approach by monitoring and addressing studentsat all grade levels K through 8.● NTAs will reinforce, supervise students, and support teachers during safety procedures anddrills.● NTAs will be expected to do daily morning classroom checks to uphold uniform expectations andaddress violations.● NTAs will be expected to support discipline protocols with fidelity and hold high expectations forstudents.● NTAs will support the Deans and Assistant Principals in office work including filing, uniformviolations, attendance accountability, etc.● NTAs will be expected to monitor all hallways transitions, including to and from expressive artsand lunches, monitoring student hall passes, and do regular hallway and bathroom checks forstudents out of bounds.● NTAs will be expected to arrive to work on time and stay the duration of the day in order toclosely monitor arrival and dismissal for the safety of all students.

● NTAs will be responsible for monitoring lunch and after-school detentions, upholding thedisciplinary expectations set by the Deans and Assistant Principals● NTAs will receive quarterly Performance Reviews by the Deans and/or Assistant Principals● NTAs will adhere to Signature Practices for technology use.

Education and certifications

• Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth school grade.
• One year of volunteer or paid experience working with youth which has included responsibility for maintaining discipline or security, directing activities and/or counseling.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks

Building relationships and fostering students' sense of community are a criticalpart of our work at APS and as such, we have partnered with the Collaborative Classroom to implementthe Caring School Community Model in all of our schools.Caring School Community model builds positive classroom and schoolwide communities whiledeveloping students' social and emotional learning (SEL) skills and competencies. It is designed to helpstudents become caring, responsible members of their school communities and, ultimately, to grow intohumane, principled and skilled citizens of a democratic society. The lessons in the program help facultyand staff create a warm, safe, and disciplined school environment where all community members candevelop the skills and dispositions they need to interact constructively with others.All employees at American Paradigm Schools are expected to be true champions of the Caring SchoolCommunity Program.
