Saving children.® Job Description As a Specialist - Pre Print Production Graphic Designer, you’ll be an integral part of our creative team. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and revise compelling designs for our direct marketing (DM) program materials. Your work will directly impact our fundraising initiatives and help us continue our life-saving mission. Responsibilities: Autonomous Production: Utilize a high degree of autonomy, concentration, and time/project management skills to assist in producing a variety of print materials. These include St. Jude and ALSAC brochures, newsletters, forms, booklets, posters, and miscellaneous pieces for ALSAC’s print, direct mail, and email marketing campaigns. Correct art files per company procedures and standards using preflight experience. Package files and send them to vendors. Direct freelance artists by reviewing their art preparation methods to ensure the desired creative result when printed. Ensure overall consistency and accuracy of all art received from freelance artists. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in design. Regularly contribute to assigned business work. Maintain a high standard of detail and accuracy in all printed collateral to meet and exceed quality requirements. Strengthen interdepartmental relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment. Cost-Effective Design Options: Create and present design project options that achieve requested objectives while remaining cost-effective. Qualifications: Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in a related field (e.g., agency or marketing environment). Print Production Expertise: Thorough understanding of the print production process. Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken language for internal and external interactions. Proofreading: Strong proofreading skills to maintain quality and accuracy. #LI-TM1 Adaptability: Ability to comprehend complex verbal or written instructions. Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, as well as other relevant software. Creative Aptitude: Familiarity with creative software tools.
