Saving children.® Job Description As a Product Owner II - IT, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development of products from inception to completion. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the products align with clients’ needs and preferences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, define the product vision, prioritize features, and manage the entire development process. Here are the key duties and qualifications: Duties and Responsibilities: Vision and Requirements: Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand their needs and translate them into clear product requirements. Define and maintain a cohesive vision for the product throughout the development lifecycle. Create a product roadmap based on this vision. Backlog Management: Manage the product backlog, prioritizing tasks based on changing requirements. Oversee all stages of product creation, including design and development. Progress Monitoring: Evaluate product progress at each stage of the process. Work closely with the product team and end-users to deliver updates and status reports. Agile Methodologies: Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints. Lead the team in using agile methodologies, including Scrum, to improve team effectiveness. Communication: Translate technical jargon into clear explanations for internal teams and key stakeholders. Articulate how product features translate to business benefits. Collaboration: Collaborate with Architecture, Security Liaison, and the Platform Director to manage the product platform effectively. Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role. Familiarity with third-party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols. Understanding of software engineering principles and techniques. Skills: Proficiency with software engineering and related tools. Ability to facilitate and resolve disagreements over scope, design, and requirements. Knowledge of hardware, software, and network setup. Communication: Ability to articulate both marketing and IT needs/issues to all groups. Additional Qualifications: Good knowledge of Information Technology techniques. Ability to interact well with team members and business users. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Deep understanding of iterative/agile development. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, or a related field. Experience Level: 6-8 years of information technology experience.
