STEM / Integrated Science Teacher, K-8

The K-8 STEM teacher guides students in learning basic biology, earth science, physics, and chemistry. Candidates should have a minimum of two years' of formal teaching experience, preferably in a school setting teaching grades K-8. A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.

Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, a love of teaching and learning, and a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere that is aligned with values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A teaching demonstration will be required of top candidates. Successful candidates should demonstrate high warmth and consistent energy so that students can tell the teacher loves them and the subject matter.

Candidates must be willing to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement, both on and off-campus and serve as ambassadors.

Location of position is 142 W. 200 N., Salt Lake City, Utah.

Position begins January 8, 2024 through May 24, 2024, with possibility for multi-year extension if the teacher does very well.
