American Hearing Aids Associates is Hiring a Part-Time Medical Assistant Near Scarborough, ME

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-time Medical Assistant to join our busy Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) practice. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our medical team in the care and treatment of patients, as well as performing a range of administrative and clinical tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients, update patient medical histories, and schedule appointments.
  • Assist with patient intake and vitals measurement.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as preparing patients for examination and treatment, assisting the provider during exams.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain patient records and assist with charting and documentation.
  • Assist with sterilization and maintenance of clinical equipment and supplies.
  • Answer phone calls and return messages in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assisting the medical team during patient examinations and procedures
  • Collecting and processing laboratory specimens
  • Providing patient education on treatment plans and post-treatment care

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ENT practice is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
