Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver for one of our residents.
an average of 20 hours a week
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for clients
Skills:
- Experience in meal preparation and knowledge of special dietary requirements
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies promptly
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding their dignity and privacy
- Knowledge of senior care systems and ability to assist with mobility devices or lifts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassion, patience, and empathy towards individuals requiring care
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for the position)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
