Hiring in Southampton, New Britain, BristolĀ and Langhorne offices.

Tri-Century Eye Care has an exciting opportunity for compassionate individuals looking for a rewarding career in healthcare. With offices in Southampton, Doylestown, Bristol and Langhorne, we are the largest Ophthalmology practice in Bucks County.

We are looking for a caring and organized Ophthalmic Technicians to join our team in all locations. You will be responsible for an array of activities related to patient care including but not limited to; gathering chief complaints, updating health history, performing diagnostic testing, conducting vision and pressure checks and triaging emergencies. Technicians work side by side with our highly skilled doctors and surgeons.

You should be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment and demonstrate exceptional multitasking skills.

Full-time and part-time positions available.

Additional Ophthalmic Technician Responsibilities may Include:

  • Acquiring chief complaints and health histories
  • Patient pre-testing, including vision testing, tonometry, color plates, stereo testing, external examination, dilation and refraction
  • Performing ancillary diagnostic testing (auto-refraction, visual field, OCT, fundus photos, topography, pachymetry, biometry)
  • Administering topical ophthalmic medications
  • Assisting physicians with patients in exam lanes
  • Assisting with minor in-office ophthalmic procedures
  • Teaching insertion and removal of contact lenses
  • Ordering contact lenses
  • Triaging patient emergencies
  • Maintenance, care, and sterilization of ophthalmic instruments and equipment
  • Other duties as required

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes Required:

  • Required English language proficiency
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal), accompanied by active listening skills, patience, and stress tolerance
  • Ability to work within a team structure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Well organized, with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of medical records and protected health information
  • Reliability in meeting or exceeding attendance and punctuality standards
  • Ability to work with normal supervision
