Packages finish goods in commercial grade packaging with strong emphasis on achieving or exceeding established safety, manufacturing standards, improving manufacturing capabilities and the lowering of manufacturing cost through improved manufacturing processes, higher productivity in the workforce, and efficient material utilization.
I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Executes established strategies to maximize and continuously improve safety, reliability, and productivity of the design of a product.
2. Packages various finished products for retail in commercial grade packaging utilizing specialized sealing tooling and basic hand tools.
3. Weighing the material on the bag line to ensure correct weight of each package.
4. Safely palatizes the product for shipping.
5. Monitoring of quality of the product and damage to be noted to the Supervisor.
6. Laison’s with the operational leader to ensure that all safety steps are being taken on the job.
7. Associate that “walks the talk” with peers.
8. Participates in safety, quality, and equipment issues with the operation lead.
9. Other duties as assigned.
II. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
A minimum of a High School degree with 1 years manufacturing experience operating machinery or mold equipment preferred.
A Servant Leadership style working with peers.
Some experience with quality systems preferred.
Experience with an ERP system preferred.
Hands-on experience working with prints preferred.
III. OTHER REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB
A. LANGUAGE SKILLS— Ability to read, analyze, and interpret prints. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and customary business documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Fluency in English, both written and oral is required.
B. REASONING ABILITY—Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information. Ability to read and understand blueprints including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to sit using hands or fingers, handle or feel; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
D. WORK ENVIRONMENT— The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is routinely exposed to moving mechanical parts and energy sources including electricity, pneumatic, and hydraulic power/sources. The noise level in the work environment occasionally requires hearing protection.
