American Efird is Hiring a Collections Representative Near Charlotte, NC

Elevate Textiles, a global provider of advanced, high quality products and mission critical textile solutions, is looking to fill a Credit Representative position to work as part of its AR Credit and Collections team. The position reports to the Credit & Collections Manager and will play a key role in the timely collection of past due AR Balances.

Title: Credit Representative

Based in: Uptown, Charlotte NC

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Hybrid Schedule – Work From Home Mondays & Fridays)

Reports to: Credit & Collections Manager

This position will be responsible for the credit and collections function for an assigned portfolio of accounts, both domestic and international across 2 different ERP systems.

General Job Description

  • Participate in Bi-weekly conference calls with Sales teams.
  • Make collection calls/Emails on an assigned group of accounts and process necessary correspondence with internal and external customers.
  • Negotiation of collection issues, including customer refunds, account adjustments, discrepancies and short payments.
  • Responsible for timely order review of assigned accounts and making decisions to hold or release based on specific set of criteria.
  • Accountable for reducing delinquencies for assigned accounts.
  • Partner with Sales and Management when necessary to accelerate the collection process, and communicate & follow up effectively with Sales.
  • Assist with continuous improvement when developing and reviewing processes in place and designing future processes
  • Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Credit Department.
  • Assist the Credit Manager with special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years previous Credit & Collection experience required.
  • Excellent communication / follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasker, highly motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced team environment.
  • Basic MS Excel skills.
  • JD Edwards and Coda experience preferred.
  • Superior customer service and communication skill
