Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Dental Assistant/Treatment Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing chairside assistance to our dentists and managing patient treatment plans and appointments. The job is primarily being a Treatment coordinator , while providing back up assisting when needed. The job position will transition to a full time treatment coordinator/ operations director.

Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, operating suction devices, and providing patient comfort.
• Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as instructed by dentists.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, and follow up on missed appointments or treatment plans.
• Communicate treatment plans, financial obligations, and insurance coverage options to patients.
• Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Collaborate with the administrative team to ensure efficient office operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
• X-ray certification required.
• Prior experience working in a dental office preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.27 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
