Summary: A Relationship Banker II/Teller acts as the intermediary connecting customers with the financial institution. This role focuses on fostering and nurturing customer relationships by attentively addressing their financial requirements, offering guidance on personal and business accounts, and introducing fundamental commercial business treasury and cash management services. As a Relationship Banker II, comprehensive knowledge of the bank's product suite, coupled with a profound understanding of customers' financial aspirations, enables you to assist clients in optimizing and overseeing their accounts effectively.
his role can entail serving as a senior team member, assuming a secondary leadership position, and fulfilling the responsibilities of a Vault Teller. In this capacity, you function as the primary contact point for customers and occasionally for the staff and may also play a role in training peers. Essential skills for this role include consistently demonstrating professional written and verbal communication, a proficient understanding of numerical data, basic banking finance expertise, a commitment to delivering Excellent customer service, and maintaining a professional and amicable demeanor. Prospective candidates are required to possess a minimum of a high school diploma, along with prior experience in banking or alternatively, an associate or bachelor’s degree.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Primary contact for new account openings, delegated by branch management team
· Serve as a Teller when required.
· Demonstrates a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing/evolving business needs and deadlines.
· Possesses and maintains a work ethic that includes neatness and punctuality; represents American Bank with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
· Communicates effectively and confidently and is comfortable engaging all customers.
· Exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a strong commitment to results, prioritizing customer interests.
· Collaborate efficiently to understand customers financial goals, fostering and growing relationships.
· Demonstrate passion, dedication, and a drive to enhance the customer experience regarding financial needs.
· Offer tailored solutions for customers, both new and existing, based on their specific needs.
· Possess the capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and information systems.
· Educate customers on self-service banking transactions, such as ATMs, online and mobile banking, and basic treasury management services.
· Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to meet customer demands.
· Adhere to established procedures to ensure customer and bank satisfaction, minimizing exceptions.
· Manage time effectively and efficiently.
· Maintain focus on achieving results while prioritizing customer welfare.
· Be open to working weekends and extended hours as necessary.
· Fulfill additional job responsibilities as delegated.
· Provide branch support, including inter-branch travel as required.
· Complete compliance and other assigned training courses diligently
· Communicates and request required documentation for all account types including new business accounts.
· Acts as liaison between lending departments to ensure lending customer are being serviced accordingly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Leadership oversight as delegation to 2nd in command
· Override authority within the branch teller functions.

· Must have the ability to handle large amounts of money without error;
· Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer relation skills;
· Must have attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks;
· Must be able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously;
· Must be able to handle frequent interruptions; and
· Must be able to pass background and credit screening process.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
· Minimum one (1) year experience working as a Teller preferred; and
· Complete New Account –Consumer and New Account – Business training required.
