Production Supervisor- 2nd ShiftJob Description Summary
#TeamAAM is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team on the 2nd shift in Detroit!This individual supervises Team Leaders and advises resources as required, guaranteeing always the continuous improvement process execution as the main strategy. They will also oversee the planning, scheduling, setup, and running of production activities, and manage the dispersal and distribution of materials for production. The Production Supervisor manages labor and material requirements to meet the daily production schedule. They will coordinate with Team Leaders of production support staff; communicate expectations and provide direction and training. They will also monitor work performance and provide feedback, coordinate maintenance of production equipment, and coordinate process control and quality process control.

Job Description
- Supervises production associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Maintains production processes by observing process volumes; and recommending process adjustments.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Completes production processes by monitoring progress; expediting material flow and work results; and resolving problems.
- Improves process workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; and testing new methods.
- Records production by completing daily shift production reports; and calculating yields and recoveries.
- Maintains process flow by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to the next shift.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy production process environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
- Chips in with production process and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; and helping others accomplish job results.
- Train, support, and coach team leaders, from selection to development.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a people leader.
- Machining/CNC experience preferred.
