Position Summary:

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to join the existing Industrial Air Quality team in our Power & Industrial (P&I) Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for penetrating New England / Mid-Atlantic industry by achieving the annual sales and aftermarket goals. The route to the market is to sell AAF standard products for dust and fume filtration through agents, resellers, OEM or End Users in every industrial activity.

A degree of domestic and international travel will be required to fulfil the obligations of the role, therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is essential.

Previous experience gained in an Air Filtration business would be a major advantage for this role.

Position Responsibilities:

lExecute annual goals and objectives of the Sales plan for the Industrial Air Quality business unit, within assigned region, to suit AAF growth plan.

lDevelop relationships with new customers through personal meetings, presentations and seminars.

lPlan and direct regional business activities to exceed regional bookings and sales goals.

lImplement sales promotions and marketing programs for assigned region, as directed by sales management.

lMaintain strong, accurate and current sales pipeline for the region, within SalesForce.

lHandle custom product enquiries, while encouraging the sale of standard products wherever possible.

lManage individual Agent/ Reseller/ OEM/ End User sales performance to exceed bookings and sales quotas, while monitoring quoting activities, follow-up and closing success / loss.

lParticipate in technical and commercial discussions with customers.

lFocus on strategic Key Markets for new opportunities.

lLocate new uses and new markets for products and recommend distribution channels for them.

lMaintain and report accurate 3 month rolling bookings forecast and sales tracker results for assigned region and sales channel partners.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in an Engineering related discipline (mechanical, electrical, environmental, chemical, industrial);
  2. Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;
  3. Proven sales or other commercial business experience. Preferably in a manufacturing environment or industrial distribution;
  4. Experience in developing new markets;
  5. Demonstrable experience in a front-line selling role;
  6. Sales channel creation and management experience;
  7. Experience of working independently with minimal supervision;
  8. A good track record of acquiring and maintaining direct sales;
  9. Ability to manage multiple commercial opportunities / tasks efficiently;
  10. Ability to qualify requests for quotations - investigate/determine customers buying motives and economic justification criteria, map decision makers/influencers, understand funding process;
  11. Experience of negotiating terms and conditions;
  12. Knowledge and experience of working proactively using a CRM (preferably Salesforce);
  13. Health, safety and environmentally conscious;
  14. Flexible approach to working, willingness to accept changing priorities;
  15. Ability to execute high impact strategies to enhance people and business performance;
  16. An ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
  17. Excellent attitude focused towards getting a job done quickly and to the highest possible standard;
  18. Excellent interpersonal skills;
  19. Advanced MS Office / HRIS skills (SAP an advantage);
  20. Solution and targets focused;
  21. Good commercial acumen;
  22. Ability to develop and maintain relationships;
  23. High level of English communication skills including face to face, telephone and written;
  24. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in an organized manner;
  25. Continuous improvement mentality and receptive to change;
  26. Ability to share skills and knowledge with others;
  27. Comfortable presenting in a large group setting in person or via video conferencing.
