Senior Vice President, Advocacy
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Chief Executive Officer/Executive Vice President
BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide strategic oversight and leadership on all American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advocacy initiatives, including the development and execution of strategies to advance AAP priority issues. Lead and oversee collaborations with Congress, the Administration, and state legislatures on regulatory and legislative issues affecting infants, children, adolescents, young adults, and pediatricians. Represent the AAP to outside interest groups/associations and serve in a leadership capacity in promoting the AAP goals and objectives.
