Dixon Contracting is Hiring an Office Administrative Assistant/Payroll Manager Near Dover, DE

Dixon Contracting Incorporated is looking for a responsible, highly motivated Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities

  • Manage and distribute information within the office
  • Answer phones, take memos
  • Maintain job files
  • Process invoices and customer payments
  • Reconcile accounts/bookkeeping duties
  • Develop and submit quarterly tax reports
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Manage weekly time sheets and submit payroll
  • Type various memos, correspondence, reports and other documents
  • Occasional duties to pick up/drop off job related paperwork
  • Miscellaneous office duties including, but not limited to, filing, data entry, purchasing office supplies, processing ingoing/outgoing mail

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of previous administrative assistant experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, Accounting, or other related field (experience may substitute for degree requirements)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Previous experience in construction and/or excavation industry a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Previous experience with ADP (preferred)
  • Work independently or with others in a dynamic environment
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to submit to and pass monthly random drug testing

Physical Demands

  • Abilty to lift weight up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
