The Construction Project Manager position is a dynamic hybrid role that combines on-site field responsibilities with operational management. This position involves a significant portion (70%) of fieldwork, focusing on construction projects. Additionally, 30% of the role entails sales follow-ups, customer visits for quality assurance, and strengthening customer relations. Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role is essential in aligning our company vision with practical operational excellence and is vital to our management team.
Salary: $60,000 base plus commission
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients, managers, officials, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive project plans, incorporating innovative techniques and technologies where applicable.
Project Execution: Lead all aspects of project implementation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing change orders as necessary to ensure projects stay within scope.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with regulations and codes.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to project team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, specializing in pool construction or related trades.
Proficiency in project management software and common office applications.
Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Valid driver's license with a clean record and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to environmental factors.
Preferred
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or equivalent.
Proficient swimming ability (Scuba Certification is advantageous).
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate project demands.
