About the Role:

Amcor in Franklin, IN is looking for a Shift Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:

Schedule is working nights (7pm-7am), every other weekend on a rotating 2-2-3 shift.

Observes production machinery and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues to locate causes and repair them.

Dismantles machinery and mechanical equipment to remove defective parts; repairs or replaces the defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.

Determines and orders appropriate materials and parts needed for service/repair of equipment and facility.

Lubricates and cleans machinery and mechanical equipment.

Wears all required personal protective equipment.

Assures and participates in all plant safety/accident prevention policies.

This includes maintaining a safe work environment and follows safe work practices.

Maintains housekeeping of work areas.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

Train current and new members of the department to perform job related tasks as needed.

Learn new on the job skills as training opportunities become available.

Qualifications:

Able to stand/walk on concrete floor in a high speed production facility.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Electrical Schematics
• Electrical Troubleshooting
• Pneumatics
• Hydraulics

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• Injection Molding Machine
• Blow Molding Machine
