Job Description The Executive & Legal Assistant / Paralegal II provides support to the General Counsel and the corporate legal team. Support functions include legal research, document preparation, records maintenance, as well as calendar management, travel, event planning and other administrative services. The role will have exposure to Board of Directors activities, as well as to global operations. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Prepare first draft of legal documents such as agreements, certificates, minutes, etc. for attorney review. Compile first draft of presentations for management team and Board of Directors meetings. Interact independently with outside counsel to manage document production and discovery response. Serve as first point of contact for multiple outside vendor relationships including publications and legal service providers. Support corporate legal in managing quarterly insider trading process. Manage quarterly legal controls process including litigation report and outside auditor certification (preparation of communications, maintenance of calendar, records management). Support corporate whistleblower process. Maintain and update internal legal department website. Conduct legal research and provide written summaries to in-house attorneys. Manage Board of Directors compensation process. Organize meetings, conferences workshops, training programs and special events. Manage executive schedules and activities. Schedule, plan and manage executive domestic and international travel. Support processing expense reports. Maintain departmental organization to include purchase orders, filing and maintaining archival records of events. Support addiitonal, situational projects as assigned WHAT WE VALUE Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality and integrity Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with utmost tact and diplomacy Global cultural awareness High proficiency in software applications including Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel), Adobe, etc. Highly organized with a great attention to detail and accuracy especially in written communications Ability and interest to learn; intellectual curiosity Ability to adapt quickly, handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload Ability to be flexible in working hours, as applicable, to support a global working business team Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance or supervision Demonstrating the core values of Amcor: safety, integrity, collaboration, accountability, results and outperformance WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU Bachelor’s Degree in business or law-related field, paralegal certificate, or related area highly preferred 5 years’ experience working in a law firm as a legal assistant or paralegal Experience supporting a corporate (in-house) legal department highly preferred Prior experience working with senior level stakeholders including board members, senior executives, etc. Prior experience of a global/international organization or of living and working outside the US Our Expectations We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
