DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Process Engineer with Lean/Six Sigma skills to help design and improve complex product development processes for Amazon Private Brands. This role is essential to our quest to build best-in-class process designs, accelerate implementation of technology advancements, and to strengthen the process acumen and process knowledge for business operations leaders across Private Brands. Product development in Private Brands is a complex and global process. Some of the steps involved in getting a product from inception to Amazon customers include product design, vendor sourcing, quality and compliance testing, logistics, and post-launch reviews to determine what product to bring to customers next.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, launch and improve self-service workflows for a broad range of stakeholder teams.
- Operate as a Subject Matter Expert on Amazon’s internal workflow engine to develop efficient workflows.
- Engage with software development teams to understand, implement, and guide evolving program technology.
- Deep dive technical product or operational issues to propose and implement simple and effective solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field, or 5 years Amazon process engineering experience.
- Expertise in designing complex processes. This should also include an in-depth knowledge in designing and implementing virtual workflow systems.
- Hands on experience mapping workflows, such as creating and using BPMN process diagrams and/or value stream maps.
- Experience with process design and based on Lean Principles.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty
- Experience with Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Economics, Modeling and related areas.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
