DESCRIPTION
Do you want to build new products from the ground up using the latest technology and AWS offerings? Do you want to work with the largest datasets on Amazon? We are building new measurement products to help brands grow on Amazon. Our products are featured in Amazon conferences and keynote speeches and are ground breaking in the industry. As a data engineer on Brand Measurement team, you will work with a collaborative and entrepreneurial team and will be encouraged to invent on behalf of our customers and will have visibility across senior leaders and engineers.
We are seeking a strong Data Engineer to join the team. If you are passionate about Big data technologies, build scalable real-time analytical solutions, relentless in ensuring data quality and reliability, and feel comfortable communicating at different levels of leadership, you are the candidate we are looking for!
This role requires deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets, across a variety of data platforms. You have excellent business and interpersonal skills, and are able to work with business owners to understand data requirements. You are an expert in crafting, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, and efficient solutions to flow data from production systems and data lakes. Above all, you are passionate about working with huge data sets and love to bring datasets together to answer business questions and drive growth.
In this role, you will envision, design and develop data solutions to scale measurement data. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data/ETL pipelines leveraging big data technologies and modern BI products. You will help org move towards data as a service model to improve influence on day-to-day business decisions. You will influence and guide other engineers, tech team members and leaders to make informed data decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark (Scala), Hadoop or any other distributed data processing engine

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
