Seeking a Program Specialist to join the Worldwide Public Sector Capture, Proposal, and Tech Writer team as a key driver in scaling complex pursuit pricing response strategy. In this role, the candidate will be directly involved in strengthening our RFx response methodologies by building resources and tooling to enable internal teams to optimize resources across price, compete, and incentive program expertise areas throughout the pursuit lifecycle. This role requires a strong leader who will be responsible for earning trust with internal teams, driving simplification, defining and communicating streamlined processes, and building consensus around approaches. The candidate should have a strong business background, technical depth, analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-organizationally. A successful candidate will also have a keen sense of ownership, express bias for action, and drive results.

Key job responsibilities
- Optimize existing complex pursuit price proposal response processes and develop new, scalable, and repeatable processes and tools that reflect best pricing-practices
- Manage all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical and operational feasibility of proposed price resources and tooling
- Document successful RFx response approaches and create templates that scale to meet growing business needs
- Coordinate across AWS Pricing, Service, Finance, and Investments teams to maintain updated guidance on processes, requirements, and offerings in support of RFx price responses
- Build new and improve existing price response related data reporting
- Work backwards from customers, sales, and partner team trends to identify opportunities to simplify existing or invent new price response approaches
- Drive a standard approach to engagement of complex pursuit resources to ensure prioritization that supports organizational objectives.

In this role, the candidate will work directly with members of the Complex Pursuit Strategy Team to standardize engagement, drive prioritization, identify successful approaches, and translate best practices into scalable tooling and resources to support Compete, Sales, and Account Teams.

The Complex Pursuit Program Specialist will join a team of highly supportive and collaborative pricing, compete, and incentives experts with a focus on positioning AWS to to win the most strategic Public Sector deals and scaling pricing and pursuit best practices across the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - BA/BS degree
- Minimum 3 years of relevant or similar experience in pricing responses for complex and strategic government proposals
- Collaborative, flexible, and able to balance the need for structure with the efficiency and effectiveness of action-oriented approaches
- Excellent time management, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and short deadlines

- Detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to work independently with a minimal level of supervision, as well as operate as part of a team
- Knowledge and work experience in Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience with US and/or International Public Sector customers.
- Development Skills - SQL, Tableau design, dashboards and reporting
- Ability to understand the complexities of IT environments
