Amaris Assisted Living Homes is seeking a compassionate and reliable Resident Assistant to join our team ! The ideal candidate will have 1 year of prior caregiving experience in a residential setting and will be QMAP certified.

Resident Assistant Responsibilities:

-Caringforthepersonalneeds,safety,andcomfortofourresidents

-Assistingresidentswith activitiesofdailyliving including wardrobe,personalhygiene, and mobility

-Aidingindailytaskssuchashousekeeping,useoftelephone,laundry,transportation,andmaildelivery

-Assistingwithdiningincludingescortingresidentstodiningroom,serving,andcleanup

-Observingand reportingchangesinresidentsconditionand status

-Documentingclient concernsanddifficultiesandreportingtosupervisor

-Schedulingdoctorappointmentsasneeded

-Completingroundsonresidentstoassuresafetyandprovideassistanceasneeded

-Attendingmeetings/in-services/trainingsessionsasrequiredbyHealthServicesDirectorand/orExecutiveDirector

-Communicatingwithresidents,families,visitors,andemployeesinapositivemannerusingexcellentcommunication skills

-Representingtheagencyinaloyalmanner

-Otherdutiesasassigned

Qualifications:

-Graduation from high school or successful G.E.D.

-Verifiable work experience as a caregiver or CNA, preferably 1 year.

Skills and Abilities:

-Ability to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl

-Ability to frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.

-Ability to see and hear within normal parameters/ranges.

-Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce

-Ability to read and interpret technical instructions related to providing client care

-Ability prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to client needs and schedule
