Precertification Specialist

AMARILLO HEART INSTITUTE is seeking a Full-Time Precertification Specialist to join our team in Amarillo, TX. This position is responsible for completing verification of benefits and precertifications/documentation processes which involves communicating with patients, primary care physicians offices and insurance companies to ensure that all appropriate demographic and reimbursement information is accurate prior to the patient's scheduled appointment. Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a claims processing role preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance programs preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet company deadlines.
