Primary Purpose:
Direct and manage the overall dance team program for the campus and district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular dance/dance team activities and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA), and district requirements. Plan and administer dance team activities in accordance with campus and district expectations. Plan and prepare to provide students the opportunity to achieve district, region, state, and national recognition.
Qualifications: Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of overall operation of dance/dance team program Ability to manage budget and personnel Knowledge of state, UIL, and district policies governing dance extracurricular activities Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Experience Three years teaching and dance/dance team instruction experience preferred Salary: Teacher / 10 Months
