The Helpdesk Technician will play a key role in the Procurement, Deployment, Maintenance, Upgrades and Management of company hardware. Troubleshooting and resolving any related hardware, software and user access issuesfor company deployed Technology. This role will respond to requests submitted via online support ticket system, emails and phones calls in a timely manner providing highest level of professional technical/customer support to end-users meeting the organizations IT needs and goals, while keeping technology downtime to a minimum.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(Other duties may be assigned and are not limited to the following)
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
  • Procure, configure, deploy and support company software and hardware as required.
  • Install and configure hardware and software systems as required.
  • Document problem solutions in online ticket support system and knowledge base articles
  • Train computer users in basic system operation
  • Review diagnostics and added the functionality and efficiency of systems
  • Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively managed and/or resolved in a timely manner
  • Implement security measures as required by industry and company security standards.
  • Monitor security certificates and company compliance requirements
  • Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot approved computer programs
  • Respond to employees’ requests regarding tools and resources needed for position
  • Assist Helpdesk Supervisor with management and oversight of daily scheduled tasks
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School diploma, or equivalent; one to three (1-3) years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Experience in PC installation and ticketing software
  • Experience in supporting end users in an IT corporate environment both on-site and remotely.
  • Experience in Remote Control Desktop Support software preferred.
  • Experience in using and supporting SharePoint and M365 and Azure related products preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Advanced knowledge of standard IT tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, AZURE)
  • Exceptional integrity and ethics required in order to maintain confidential information
  • High Attention to detail, consistency and accuracy in performing job-related tasks
  • Ability to work both as a team and / or independently.
  • Ability to self-direct problem solve with little or no direction to derive at resolutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
  • Good organization, time management and prioritization
  • Efficient trouble shooting abilities
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast changing work environment
  • Must be able to read and write the English language
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • No travel restrictions, ability to travel as needed to support the job function and end users
Physical Requirements: Little or no physical demands are required to perform the essential functions of the position. Work effort principally involves sitting or standing to perform work tasks, with intermittent periods of stooping and walking. May be exposed to repetitive motion and vision to monitor. The employee is occasionally required to lift, push or pull objects such as books, office equipment and/or computer paper.
