POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Part-Time, Janitor Lead acts as lead crew member and is responsible for performing custodial services in order to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Will perform a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings and facilities within the government contract to include both routine maintenance as well as non-routine assignments. Will help ensure that all schedules and administrative tasks assigned by Janitorial management are completed.

Job Duties Overview: 

• Basic janitorial consisting of: Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms and kitchen messes. Performing detail work when necessary. Emptying and removing trash. Washing windows, doors and other glass surfaces.
• Floor care duties including, but not limited to; carpet cleaning and extraction, strip and wax and spray and buff. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency and the ability to train personnel on all pieces of floor care equipment.
• Assist with the training and evaluating of new personnel
• Perform duties in the field independently, without supervision, either leading a crew in various tasks or by themselves to ensure contract compliance.
• Assist the supervisor in scheduling and administrative duties as needed.
• Assist with the issuing of keys and vehicle logs.
• Assist with gathering information for and input of daily Janitorial reports.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to comply with all safety requirements and wear personal protective equipment at all times

• Ability to comply with instruction and direction
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Applicant must have the ability to successfully pass a background investigation for both the company as well as the base
• Must have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance within 90 days of hire
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License
• Pursuant to Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen
• Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance Services, LLC maintains a drug/alcohol free workplace. Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to perform physical labor to include lifting and carrying a maximum of 50 lbs
