The Generator Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Generator scope of work as described below.

• Equipment within the Generator SOW includes, but is not limited to: Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, Load Banks, and Fuel Systems serving any mission critical generators.
• Complete PM checklists for each piece of equipment you plan to service.
• Complete PM on each piece of equipment within the Technical Exhibit as dictated by the appropriate checklist as coordinated with the Team Leader.
• Fill out checklist for each piece of equipment PM’d and document all comments and findings in the ‘additional comments’ section of the checklist.
• Identify corrective maintenance items found during the course of PM, or requested by the FM, and estimate time and materials required. Verify whether or not the required parts are available and can potentially be procured locally.
• Once corrective maintenance is approved, complete the work required and test equipment after work is complete to verify proper functionality.
• Wear proper Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working on equipment, as required.
• Work with teammates to report and resolve (if possible) any life, health, or safety issues discovered.
• Complete required Generator Run Log on all generators serviced, observed running hours for each generator, date of manufacture for each generator, overall condition/status of each generator, whether or not a Facility Load Test was completed.
• Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and standard service repairs on most brands/types of new and older generators, transfer switches, and load banks listed in the Technical Exhibit. Replaces failed parts and troubleshoots observed deficiencies according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Able to source and recommend required maintenance equipment and supplies/materials as required to complete maintenance tasks and improve processes/efficiencies. May require additional training and guidance on maintenance/troubleshooting procedures for equipment from one or more manufacturer of equipment listed in the Technical Exhibit.

• Must be able to work on ladders, access rooftops and other hard to reach areas, and be able to lift and carry materials and tools in excess of 25 lbs.
• Requires at least 5-7 years of related experience as a Generator Technician or training from a trade school.
• Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be familiar with the requirements outlined by NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, Electrical Generating Systems Association, OSHA, and other safety regulations.
