POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The General Clerk III performs a combination of clerical tasks to support office, business or administrative operations. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining records, receiving, scanning, preparing or verifying documents, searching for and compiling information and data, responding to routine requests either by phone or in person.

  • Maintains an inventory of the Barrack furniture, linens, equipment inventory and reports to the Project Manager on a monthly schedule.
  • Records all incoming and outgoing soldiers’ material request for inventory.
  • Provides the Project Manager with the completed PM request turned in by the Barrack Technicians.
  • Writes, types, or enters information into computer to prepare correspondence, or other documents.
  • Photocopies documents to be place on computer database.
  • Complies completed work tickets and/or timesheets in order to record time, labor, material cost, and work task information submitted within NexGen IT.
  • Inputs production data from such documents as customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
  • Enters data from service orders, payroll and invoices into Maximo, NexGen and Deltek also places copies on computer data bases.
  • Interact with client and other facilities staff to obtain necessary information (maintenance logs, service calls, etc.) to aid in the competence of service orders.
  • Maintain accurate written and data entry computer record on NexGen, Deltek and information stored on “T” drive.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Knowledge and skill in the use of software and keyboarding for data entry, email, and report generation, especially Microsoft software.
  • Skill in the use of standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
