The Process Technician works with engineers to establish and maintain robust manufacturing processes which define production parameters and outline standardized work instructions. They support production by assisting with new production launches, troubleshooting “line down” situations, auditing set-ups, and performing start-ups.

What You'll Do:

• Continuously monitor and control existing processes to assure compliance to process limits. Identify causes of unacceptable variation, downtime, and scrap, implement corrective actions, validate results, and document clearly the root cause and corrective actions on the Die Cast Pace sheet and process compliance sheets
• Ensure optimum process limits, documented in the process set up books, are maintained and adhered to
• Work with Engineers on New Product and Replacement Die Launches
• Participate with Manufacturing Engineers in Continuous Improvement projects such as scrap reduction, up-time improvements, automation, cycle time reduction, and other projects
• Perform Process Compliance audits with corrective and follow up actions completed as documented in the control plan.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the Central Die Lube, Micro-Spray and Tip Lube systems

Requirements

What We Need from You:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency; Bachelor’s/Associates degree preferred
• 5 years minimum hands on experience working with die cast machines
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes
• Knowledge of IATF-16949 Quality Systems
• Employees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessary
• Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularly
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections
