Teacher Job Requirements
International Baccalaureate & Collaboration

● Four-day school week for students, and teacher collaboration and planning on Fridays
● Teaches and educates students according to guidelines provided by the International

Baccalaureate (IB) and the Idaho State Common Core
● Researches and understands the International Baccalaureate philosophy and curriculum at high levels
● Creates a strong classroom community using the International Baccalaureate Profile
● Plans, prepares and delivers lessons at instructional levels, mainly in small group instruction
● Collaborates with colleagues and writes high level unit planners
● Plans and prepares project-based units
● Builds strong relationships in the community and creates connections for the benefit of the school and community

Classroom Environment & Communication
● Students are taught at instructional levels, therefore classes are multi-age
● Promotes the academic and social progress and well-being of individual students, groups of students and the community of the classroom
● Maintains strong classroom and school discipline among students
● Analyzes data, assesses, records and reports on the development, progress, academic achievement and behavior of students
● Provides continual feedback to parents on their child’s progress and needs
● Communicates, consults and cooperates with other members of the school staff and parents to ensure the best interests of all students are met
● Maintains a well-organized, clutter free, clean and orderly classroom

Academic Practices
● Utilizes data following a careful review and effectively administers interventions
● Advises and collaborates with the leadership team and other teachers in the preparation and development of the curriculum, teaching materials and methods of teaching and assessments
● Review, reflect and evaluates one’s own teaching and learning strategies and methodologies

Job Requirements
Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate with required endorsements or equivalent; or Idaho Department of Education Certification or the ability to obtain one via alternative route.
