Are you a seasoned Embedded Linux Software Engineer with a passion for developing complex software systems? Our engineering team is seeking a talented individual with 5-10 years of experience to join us in designing and developing software for embedded Linux systems. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of diverse engineers to solve complex problems and drive product development forward. Are you a passionate engineer? Location: Girard, Ohio.

Salary range: Flexible compensation, to be discussed based on individual qualifications and experience

Individual tasks:

  • Architect, design, and develop software for embedded Linux systems using languages such as Golang, C, and C .
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement product features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software and hardware integration
  • Develop and maintain documentation for software development processes
  • Create automated unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing software for embedded Linux systems
  • Proficiency in C and/or C programming languages
  • Strong familiarity with Golang and other high-level languages
  • Experience with device driver development, kernel modules, user space applications and file systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration, network protocols, and security
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Highly skilled in debugging and use of advanced tools
  • In depth use of equipment such as Oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency counters, frequency sources, 4-20mA inputs and outputs, PC interfaces (Serial converters, CAN converters) Ethernet switches, etc.)

  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities under deadlines, make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information
