We are actively recruiting a Control Panel Engineer to become an integral part of our team at the Panel Assembly facility in Girard, Ohio. As a pivotal member of the design team, the Control Panel Engineer will assume a vital role throughout the entire order-to-ship cycle of control panels. This role involves managing the entire project, from engineering control panels to providing essential support for the production and quality control processes. This is a Full-time salaried position with flexible day shift hours.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to support design and department functions.

- Design and develop control panels, considering functionality, safety, and compliance.

- Perform CAD design of electrical circuits, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.

- Create and enter control panel Bill of Materials in the MRP system.

- Prepare and maintain documentation related to control panel design, control (sequence of operations), and testing manuals.

- Program and/or script Altronic products and third-party products.

- Perform software testing in a test set lab environment.

- Interface with various departments; including but not limited to purchasing, sales, production, quality control and new product engineering.

- Engage with customers and stakeholders, addressing technical questions and providing project status updates.

- Specify parts and components for purchasing related to the production of electrical cabinets.

- Manage projects to balance scope, schedule, and quality for successful delivery.

Note: Some travel may be required for on-site support, although it is very rare, ensuring a strong focus on project success.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional industry experience in Project Controls Engineering or a bachelor's degree in engineering.

- Proven expertise in designing control panels for industrial applications.

- In-depth knowledge of control systems, automation, and instrumentation.

- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations related to control panel design.

- Proficient in CAD for drafting electrical schematics and panel layouts.

- Advanced knowledge of electrical components and theory.

- Familiarity with test equipment such as power supplies, 4-20 mA signals, AC/DC multimeter, etc.

- Preferred knowledge of communication networks and protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, CAN).

- Proficiency in advanced programming and scripting languages (LUA).

- Self-guided and active team player.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
