Altronic LLC is seeking a metal fabricator for the control panel business to join the team in Girard, Ohio. The metal fabricator is responsible for working with the production team lead and the Department Manager. The individual will be responsible for using machines and various hand tools while assembling control panels. The individual shall have a seasoned exposure to cutting metal, modifying metal, and building control panels. The candidate must be able to communicate with team members, Supervisor, and other department leads/managers in an objective and professional manner in order to fulfill on-time completion of work orders within the department. During the duration of the shift, the candidate is responsible to maintain not only quality standards, but also the necessary productivity, safety, and on-time completion standards for the department. This position also requires a general housekeeping duty within the working area in conjunction with maintaining standards within the work area. Any additional tasks may be assigned by the Supervisor to accommodate fluctuating production schedules and requirements.

This is a full-time position, scheduled weekdays.

Main Tasks. The main function of this role is to assemble control panel enclosures, modify control panel enclosures using various hand tools and welding equipment, and ultimately delivery reliable and high-quality final product efficiently that contribute to on-time delivery and high quality control panels to our customers.

Individual Tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Knowledge in reading and interpreting Control Panel Assembly Drawings/Schematics
• Strong ability to problem solve and troubleshoot mechanically/electrically
• Must have skillset and knowledge of electrical/mechanical panel design and be able to interpret and layout the customized panel accordingly
• Must be able to correctly identify associated components on a Bill of Material
• Route, bend, and land Pneumatic tubing to devices/termination points using hand tools
• Assemble Control Panel enclosures
• Ability to use jigsaw, plasma cutter, band saw, etc.
• Ability to use stud welder
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD to create panel tags/custom tags
• Able to use Hydraulic Metal Punches
• Operate laser engraving machine to create custom tags
• Individual must be self motivated
• Must be able to work in team environment
• Ability to flex to other departments as needed, inclusive of wiring control panels

Requirements/Challenges.

• 5 years previous metal fabrication experience required
• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Must be able to work productively, safely, and independently without supervision in order to meet quality, productivity, and On-Time goals
• Must have strong skillset in using hand tools and metal fabrication/welding equipment related to control panel assembly
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment under tight delivery windows
• Must be able to follow all safety guidelines
