Altair Global Services is Hiring a Senior Manager, Global Compensation Near Frisco, TX

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Global Compensation leads the day to day operations for Altair Global’s Compensation team. The Senior Manager will provide direct leadership to team leads, managers and staff in the execution of client deliverables, process improvements, setting service expectations and supporting client implementations. This role serves as a key people leader with responsibility for contributing to building and supporting a culture of inclusion and high team member engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manages global compensation teams on the day-to-day, in all aspects, ensuring successful execution of services to Altair’s clients as per agreed process and client-specific SLAs

• Maintains current knowledge regarding industry-specific tax requirements and the resulting impacts to domestic and global compensation accumulation and tax/payroll reporting 

• Represents and supports relationship management of Altair’s compensation clients

• Supports assigned leadership [VP], focusing on compensation business process automation, integration of system protocol and participates in new process implementation

• System configuration in support of process consistency, enhancements and new implementations

• Manages the identification of root causes of client-level process inefficiencies, process gaps or breaks, as well as operational risks and leads the team in integrating industry best practice 

• Responsible for ensuring the compensation team produces quality deliverables, on-time and within client scope raising concerns to VP and/or leadership on areas outside of scope

• Supports the development and maintenance of team training documentation 

• Manages and leads discussions with tax providers and clients, and provides explanations on global reporting usage and delivery

• Participates in the of implementation of new compensation clients

• Assist team members in meeting client deliverables, service expectations, business development, client transitions and department objectives

• Leads system testing for tax and product enhancement releases

• Generate monthly reporting and auditing as requested / required by the VP, Compensation Services

• Manages all phases of Altair’s year-end processes for each client assigned, delegating responsibilities as needed to team leads, managers, and compensation analysts/specialists

• Supports incremental revenue opportunities

• Drives cross-departmental educational opportunities to help promote team knowledge share, and develop positive relationships with all internal stakeholders

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or combination of equivalent experience, skills, training, and education required. 

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

• 3 – 5 years managerial experience

• 5 – 7 years of payroll and/or tax experience

• Prior experience in global compensation practices, including technical strength in all aspects of compensation accumulation, shadow payroll and hypothetical tax

• 5 – 7 years client-facing service experience

• Solid managerial skills to lead a team of technical/analytical professionals

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboratively working with internal and external contacts at all levels

• Teamwork and interpersonal skills required

• Highly conscious of client needs and deadlines

• Ability to multi-task 

WORK/PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

Office setting and/or home office work environment. Team member must be able to operate standard office equipment. Team member spends substantial amount of time working on the computer, on the phone speaking with customers and working under deadlines.

In addition, team member must be able to travel independently for company business as required/requested. Must be able to handle at least 10 pounds of luggage without assistance.
