**Position** : Compliance Specialist
**Location** : Honolulu, HI
**Job Purpose** **:**
The Compliance Specialist will provide a high level of proactive support to internal clients and managers including assessments, strategies, policies and procedures. This position will serve as a strategic consultant to managers and will require a strong understanding of the business strategic direction, industry standards, the corporate culture, and short and long-term departmental needs.
**Essential Functions** **:**
Assists in documenting, tracking and monitoring compliance efforts within the department
Maintains knowledge of the business unit, builds strong relationships with managers
Maintains accurate date in tracking system/database for compliance related reports/data
Tracks metrics and communicates success/areas for improvement
Participates in recruitment planning meetings with recruiting department as needed
Partners with managers to share ideas and increase the effectiveness of employees
Partners with the recruiting department to provide sourcing ideas including but not limited to traditional job boards, internet data mining, internal databases, social media, employee referrals, networking, cold calling, career fairs, and competitor research
Partners with the recruiting department to maintain a network and pipeline of contacts to source qualified candidates
Researches, identifies, and implements effective tools and resources for the department
Identifies needs to meet hiring and business goals
Evaluates current employee eligibility for internal positions
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and departmental policies
Defines data collection procedures and maintains accurate records
Generates reports and provides data as requested
Ensures internal processes comply with labor agreement
Auditing of technicians in terms of attendance, compliance, timesheets, and training
Create, update and manage employee field files for managers
Prepare documentation for compliance manager for communication to managers
Support other projects as needed
**Education** **:**
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
**Experience** **:**
2-4 years relevant experience
Demonstrated client relationship management
Experience working with a union environment a plus
**Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** **:**
Excellent networking skills
High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of applicable laws and regulations (OFCCP, VEVRAA, etc.)
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Strong communication and influencing skills
Works independently
Collaborates well in a team environment
Ability to establish professional and technical credibility and build trusting relationships

Salary Range: $65,000 - $91,000
