The Sanitation Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean work environment, overseeing sanitation workflows, and ensuring compliance with policies. This position involves managing sanitation staff, conducting plant audits, and collaborating with other departments to support overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain a clean work environment by assigning tasks to the team and overseeing sanitation workflows.
2. Manage sanitation supply inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
3. Develop sanitation staff through effective communication, evaluation, coaching, and monitoring.
4. Collaborate with Pest Control Provider to eliminate pest infestations.
5. Uphold sanitation programs and policies, conducting weekly plant audit inspections.
6. Participate in the development of processes to minimize product safety incident exposure.
7. Provide support to other departments as needed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct all business dealings professionally and courteously.
2. Demonstrate proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office.
3. Learn and utilize sanitation computer programs and software.
4. Identify opportunities for improvement and propose cost reduction strategies for the facility.
5. Support and implement new project ideas and designs.
6. Attend workshops to maintain professional knowledge.
7. Work a flexible schedule when required.
8. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Physical Demands:

• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Long periods of sitting/standing/walking.
• Frequent typing and working with a personal computer.
• Handling sanitation chemicals on a regular basis.

Qualifications/Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current or future certification required for AIB or a similar course and HACCP.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of sanitation and/or food manufacturing experience with progressive responsibility.
• Supervisory experience in the department is preferred.
