Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for accessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care plans to facilitate optimal patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must support the mission, goals, policies and standards of the nursing department and hospital to ensure excellence in nursing practice, must participate in professional growth and self-development activities to ensure accountability for own professional nursing practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) will promote an environment that encourages individual growth and nurtures professional practice and utilize experience and educational skills to assume an active role in orienting/teaching of staff.
Essential Functions Nursing care that aligns with physician orders within state and federal regulations Monitor, identify, and respond to changes in patient status Perform age-specific nursing care to your assigned patients at all times Collaborate with care teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care plans Deftly administer med ication and use med ical equipment Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records Engage with department/organization meetings and/or trainings Must be willing to work charge if needed.

Required Qualifications

• May be a graduate of one of the following approved professional nursing schools: Two-year Associates Degree Program; three-year Diploma Program; or four-year BSN Program
• Internal Applicants-Must currently be scheduled a majority of shifts on Medi cal/Surgical/Pediatric and be proficient at Med ical/Surgical/Pediatric skills. Will not be combined with other positions. Will be scheduled and must work a majority of shifts on Med ical/Surgical/Pediatric.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Two years of experience working as a registered nurse
