The Security Specialist I (e-QIP) will work with other Government Agencies, Contractors, and Federal Employees to support initial investigations and reinvestigations for the federal background investigation process.
The Security Specialist I (e-QIP) performs, but is not limited to, the following duties : Responsibilities : Determine the appropriate level of initial investigation and reinvestigation depending on the position's designation level Conduct preliminary record checks of the Office of Personnel Management's Central Verification System (CVS) to determine if a current reciprocal investigation meets position designation requirements.
Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries; conduct credit checks Qualifications : H.S. Diploma A minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience as a personnel security assistant 3 years of experience with initiation and review of electronic Questionnaire for Investigative Process (e-QIP) 3 years of experience conducting National Crime Information Center (NCIC) / National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries and conducting credit checks.
