AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Scientist - I (Assistant) to work onsite in Rahway, NJ.
This is a six (6) month contract position. Possible extension/temp-to-hire.
Hourly rate is up to $25.35/hour.
M-F, 8AM - 5PM.
SUMMARY:
We currently have exciting opportunities for a Biophysical Analytical Scientist within our Material and Biophysical department. In this role, you will apply Biophysical analytical skills in biotherapeutic drug products characterization with focus on product robustness. You will be working in a collaborative team environment to support both early and late stage formulation development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execution of testing protocols, including timely sample preparation, analytical testing and data reporting, with little to no supervision.
- Basic ability to troubleshoot biophysical instruments
- Documentation and reporting of results in an electronic notebook system
- Review of ELN notebooks
- Interaction with other technical groups with effective communication of results and coordination with other team members to handle the analytical workload
- Phase-appropriate biophysical characterization of formulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Minimum Requirement: BS/MS in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering,
- Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline
- Required Experience and Skills – Strong laboratory analytical skills are required. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Recent Research or Industrial experience with biophysical and biochemical techniques for biotherapeutics characterization is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of laboratory experience
- Desired Experience and Skills – Expertise in operating various Biophysical instruments including but not limited to AUC, CD, HIAC, DLS, DSC, FTIR, SEC-MALS, MFI, Raman; good understanding of protein science, protein/peptide stability, and protein-protein interactions.
