The Team
The Alloy RNA Medicines group is innovating a novel RNA-based drug discovery platform, namely AntiClastic, spanning the fields of antisense therapeutics to immunomodulating therapeutics. The team works closely with external partners to discover and develop AntiClastic RNA medicines.
The Role
As a research associate, you will work within the RNA Medicine team to support the development of a novel nucleic acid drug development platform. You will also collaborate with internal/external partners on nucleic acid drug discovery projects to ensure timely execution of the experiments, and delivery of high-quality data. This role requires a self-starting behavior with an enthusiasm and passion to make medicines. This role will have an autonomy owning various stakeholders, projects, and tasks in a dynamic start-up environment while keeping up the pace of Alloy. This is you!
How Youll Drive Impact
Innovate: Support multiple drug discovery and development projects.
Improve: Learn and identify key questions in the RNA medicine area
Deliver: Design, execute, analyze, and interpret in vitro and in vivo experiments. Generate robust, high-quality data.
Collaborate: Work closely with internal/external partners on drug discovery projects to ensure studies are executed to meet scientific goals and timelines.
Why We Value You
You have a B.S or M.S. degree in Biology or related science with 2 to 4 years of additional experience in biotech/pharma.
Ability to improve and develop new protocols/new assays to address key questions
Ability to interact and collaborate successfully in cross-functional teams
You have strong hands-on experience with molecular biology and protein techniques including, but not limited to, nucleic acid isolation, qPCR, RT-qPCR, western blots.
You have experience with cell culture and cell-based assays.
You have a keen attention for detail.
You have effective interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skills.
