Job Description

MSA Security, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Billing and Collections Analyst. The Billing and Collections Analyst will work with our internal teams and customer contacts to analyze data and reports and timely collect payment for outstanding invoices and in partnership with the Finance and Sales teams to prepare customer account reconciliation and bad debt analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate invoices and account statements to the company's clients
• Maintain Accounts Receivable files and records
• Foster client relationships to aid In client Inquiries, disputes, and collections
• Work in partnership with the Sales Department on client accounts receivables status
• Investigate and resolve Issues related to accounts receivables
• Update the Accounts Receivable Trend report on a bi-weekly basis to identify problematic and aging client concerns
• Follow up with clients on payment status
• Provide responses to inquiries from customers and internal teams regarding collection efforts
• Billing and posting reconciliation
• Play a role is suggesting changes or modifications to existing management policies and operating practices.
• Represent the company in handling challenges to billing amounts; resolve/settle invoice disputes
• Bad debt analysis and reporting
• Recommend improvements in collections process

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Associates ’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years of customer invoicing and collections experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer invoicing and collections
• Working knowledge and functional ability within Excel
• Understanding of financial statistics and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficient user of finance software
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Attention to detail
• Able to work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift focus as demands for priority change

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Collections experience in a staff role
• Experience working in a high-volume, complex billing environment.

Pay $65,000 - $75,000 per year
