Job Summary: 
The Maintenance Electrician position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all electrical issues on production equipment and machinery throughout the facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Provides technical assistance to operators and supervisors.
• Runs conduit, wires, makes electrical connections for machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform installation, integration, and maintenance of process instrumentation equipment to include gauges, switches, controllers, and motor control and power circuits.
• Assemble, test, diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair electrical components and circuits to machines in accordance with specifications, repair manuals, sketches, schematic wiring diagram, layouts, quality and safety standards and PLC ladder logic.
• Rebuild, replace, or repair defective components (motors, bearings, clutches, electrical systems).
• Understand and apply the National Electrical Safety Code at all times.
• As required, perform minor plant maintenance duties including (but not restricted to): Replace air conditioning filters, inspections of fire extinguishers, light bulb replacement, maintaining all company tools in toll crib, minor machine maintenance, painting, carpentry, errands to pick up parts and working with experienced maintenance personnel on large-scale jobs.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical problems, have mechanical skills and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to follow written instructions from manuals, schematics, specifications, and manufacturer’s directions are required.
• Math and Computer skills required.
• Forklift experience required. 
• Use and familiarity with power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Team Player and can focus on solutions.
• Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time.

Education and Experience: 

• High School diploma or Equivalency.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical repair or combination of education
  and years of experience.
• CT Journeyman Electrician License encouraged to apply.
• Previous electrical experience in printing industry or industrial maintenance encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements: Standing- 80%, Walking-20%, Lift, squat, pull, carry, deadlift 50 lbs,

Shift Available & Schedule: 1st shift: 8:00am-4:00pm
