Position Summary
Construction Manager position will be working closely with our internal department Field Engineers and Crew Lead A, GC Field engineers, Construction Mangers, and Civil and mechanical contractors, to ensure timely completion of projects, facilitate the resolution of engineering, operating, planning and scheduling relating to new construction projects. Maintaining alliance service contracts for all GC M&C projects needing support to supplement our crew support on projects.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and will be detail oriented, able to monitor projects based on input from several sources, and able to reconcile discrepancies and follow-up with pertinent individuals where necessary. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $126,000.
Bay Area Maximum: $200,000.
&/OR
California Minimum: $120,000.
California Maximum: $190,000
Responsibilities
•Contract Management: Primary PG&E contact responsible for all aspects of the PG&E/alliance contractual relationship, balancing a variety of day-to-day activities including: ensuring contract provisions are managed and applied appropriately, handling new requests for interconnection; negotiating new or amended contracts, resolving disputes with the contract funds and facilitating the resolution of operating and planning issues.
•Project Management: Works collaboratively with other internal organizations, GC Field engineers, Construction Mangers, and Civil and mechanical contractors, to ensure timely interconnection of projects, facilitate the resolution of engineering, operating, planning and scheduling relating to new construction projects.
Qualifications
Minimum
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
•7 years of experience in the field of Industrial engineering or Construction
Desired
•Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools •Experience working in the gas utility industry
•5 years of related experience (i.e. contract management, account management, case management, and/or project management)
•5 years of related work experience in gas operations maintenance and construction and project support or gas control.
•Knowledge of PG&E Gas system operation, planning and construction
•Working Knowledge Primavera P6, Unifier, Primavera Contracts Manager, Prolog or similar.
•Demonstrated abilities in Cost accounting / Inspection / Contract administration.
•Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Strong communication & presentation skills
•Analytical problem solving and decision making ability
•Customer desired experience and or strong interpersonal skills
Work location:
•Ability to travel 50% of time system wide
