Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various flooring equipment units such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, and scrapers. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

Duties:

Repairs and maintains machines in the rental fleet. Service Tech performs repairs, preventive maintenance, customer owned equipment services and pre-delivery inspections.

Service Tech handles a broad range of repairs, from general repairs and maintenance to more complex repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems. Service techs are also required to safely and securely deliver and pick up equipment.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing brushes, replacing filters, and lubricating parts, oil changes, etc

- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify the root cause of the problem

- Repair or replace defective components or parts using hand tools and power tools

- Test equipment systems to ensure proper functioning and performance

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering their questions regarding equipment

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

- Previous experience in rental equipment, flooring equipment or related field preferred

- Strong mechanical knowledge

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
