We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator/Preconstruction Manager to join our team. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, and working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to get the job done. The ideal candidate will be a team player who's organized, resourceful and knows their way around Microsoft tools and other relevant software. We are looking to hire someone who is currently living in Hawaii. This is not an out-of-state remote position.

Responsibilities:

· Review project plans, specifications, and other project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates

· Quantity takeoffs for all trades

· Prepare preliminary cost estimates based on historical data, unit costs, and subcontractor estimates

· Qualify and compare subcontractor bids

· Assist project manager with buyout of subcontracted work scopes

· Lead bid closing on bid day

· Meet with project owners to discuss estimated cost

· Review construction logistics with project manager to incorporate into cost estimate

· Suggest appropriate cost saving alternatives where applicable

Requirements:

· Experience with MS Office & Bluebeam

· Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications

· Prior experience in estimating and/or project management
