Job Title: Controller (Contract to Hire)

Location: Whittier, CA (On-site 5 days a week)

We are currently partnering with a prominent manufacturing company in Whittier, CA, to help them find a skilled Controller to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Mentor and develop finance team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Recent manufacturing industry experience within the last 1-2 years is required.
• Proficiency with JD Edwards, Netsuite, or Dynamics ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience working as a Controller or in a similar leadership role in a small company setting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
