Clinical Athletic Trainer

Alliance Orthopedics, the region's most dynamic multidisciplinary practice, is seeking an energetic, motivated, and articulate addition to our team! Our Clinical Athletic Trainers provide direct patient care working side-by-side with our conservative care team of chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and more! ATCs are an integral part of our sports medicine team, and function additionally as liaisons to our medical doctors, orthopedic surgeons, functional medicine practitioners, and pain management physicians. A licensed athletic trainer brings a unique role and perspective to the rehab floor of our practice. Not every ATC is looking for a traditional sideline position, and that's why Alliance Orthopedics provides ATCs the opportunity and resources to utilize their full scope of practice within our clinic-based model!

ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED!!! (Must possess a valid Athletic Trainer License in the state of New Jersey to be considered for the role)

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport and relationships with our patients! Understand THEIR GOALS!
  • Provide engaging one-on-one care with patients, allowing them to feel heard during evaluations
  • Oversee the execution of PPTs: Physical Performance Testing (Functional Movement Screening, computer-recorded strength testing)
  • Develop and tailor patient-specific exercise programs as part of the patient's overall care plan
  • Monitor, review, and make recommendations to treating providers on progressions/regressions within patients' care plans
  • Effectively and compassionately communicate available services and the care plan objectives to patients and their families
  • Create, monitor, review, and update patient home exercise programs
  • Stay up-to-date on current techniques and research pertaining to therapeutic modalities (Alter-G treadmill, DRX-9000 traction, Normatec, Game Ready, Litecure Laser, cryotherapy, etc.)
  • Provide ongoing contribution to meeting and exceeding the goals of the Athletic Training Team
  • Participate in marketing events, initiatives, contests, and company outings with our team
  • Develop strategies that streamline patient care and office flow (Collapse timeframes, and identify efficiencies!)
  • Ensure an outstanding patient experience by becoming part of our fun, energetic, high octane, and motivating clinic atmosphere!
  • Stand out as a valuable team member, bringing energy in collaboration with all other healthcare disciplines in a team setting to help our patients get BETTER EVERYDAY!


Requirements:

  • Valid New Jersey Athletic Trainer License REQUIRED
  • Degree from and accredited Athletic Training Education Program
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, strong understanding of treatment options for sports or related injuries/conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, especially the ability to show compassion for patients coming from all walks of life
  • Understanding of therapeutic treatments, manual massage, exercise prescription, and physical therapy techniques and equipment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
  • Willingness to challenge patients, other team members, and yourself!
