Because at the end of the day, our central support team exists to serve our practices. So, if you’re excited about using your talents to make an impact on the health and wellness of pets - we’d love to talk with you!Note: This position will be based out of our Rye Brook, NY office 2-3 days per week. Job DescriptionSenior Payroll Specialist ResponsibilitiesSupport the day-to-day Payroll functions for a highly complex, fast growing veterinary services organization of 3500 employees over 200 veterinary practices across 100 FEINs in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and internal controls Partner with HR, Accounting, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll processesResolve complex payroll issues and discrepancies, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution within 48 business hoursStay up to date with U.S. payroll regulations, payroll tax laws, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations and timely payroll tax setup and filingsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with external payroll and tax vendors and ensure the smooth operation of all payroll systems (currently ADP Workforce Now and external legal counsel)Participate in the analysis and implementation of new payroll systems and processes to streamline processes and improve team efficienciesAbility to anticipate problems and provide solutions or develop contingenciesQualificationsThis is a critical technical position at AAH that requires attention to detail, knowledge of U.S. employment law, payroll systems, and an understanding of U.S. payroll and payroll tax regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersExceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skillsStrong organization time management skills to manage multiple, diverse and potentially conflicting prioritiesStrong knowledge of multi-state payroll rules and regulationsExtensive experience with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now (preferred but not required)4 years of progressive experience in payroll operations managementBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related fieldAdditional InformationCompetitive compensation dependent on experience, with annual bonus potential.
