Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our medical office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. Needed for medical office with one physician. This is a 4-6 month position with potential to be permanent.
Excellent hours: 8:30-5pm M/T/Th and 8:30-1pm on Fridays. 1 hour paid lunch M/T/Th. Pay $20/hr.
Friendly work atmosphere- nice team of people. No one yells at you here.
Must be reliable (timely), responsible and organized. At times you may be the only employee beside the physician. You must be on time.
A positive and friendly attitude is very important as you are representing the face of the practice. We are a specialty practice. Customer service is a priority.
Reliable personal transportation is a must.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Experience working in a medical office preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
