Allen Pools & Spas is Hiring a Service Dispatcher Near Rutland, VT

We are looking for an experienced relationship-based Service Dispatcher for our Rutland, VT location. You will work with a great group of employees. You will assist with all aspects of ensuring our current customers have a positive experience with our Service Department and get their hot tub, swim spa, sauna, or other products serviced by our company.

A Service Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling, prioritizing, and dispatching service calls to field technicians or service personnel. They play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring that service requests are handled promptly and efficiently. This role involves effective communication, organization, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming service requests via phone, email, or online portal.
  • Schedule appointments and dispatch service technicians to customer locations in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize service calls based on urgency, technician availability, and customer needs.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on technician arrival times and service status.
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure proper documentation of service activities and completion of work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician schedules, and customer information in the dispatch system.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and processing service contracts.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business administration or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience in dispatching, scheduling, or customer service roles, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and dispatching software (experience with service management software is preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of pool maintenance, repairs, or construction is a plus but not required.

Pre-employment drug screen, proof of clean driving record, and background check are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
